Color Schemes

Color is important, plain and simple, and Buckeye Baits strives to give the angler the best color schemes available. It's one thing to be lucky enough to get your offering in the strike zone, but having the right coloration can sometimes mean the difference between a strike and a pass by finicky mister smallmouth. If you're not sure of the best color schemes for your particular water, I encourage you to email me and we will talk colors. I may just have the answer for you and be able to deliver a bait that will be a winner in your lake, creek, or river.

HiLite Accent Colors:

(These accent colors produce a virtual irredescence as they "flash" a shimmer effect that throws one color and contrasts another. For example, blue HiLite coupled with white plastic base coloring appears as a glimmer blue bait in the water. Deadly.)

Blue
Orange
Green

Play around, create your own, as custom colors and combinations are available at no extra cost! I will try to create whatever color scheme you can dream up!

In trying to match the actual forage base in your area, take the Susquehanna River for example. To best match a Susquehanna River craw, you would want a Green Pumpkin base with all or one of the following glitters: red, purple, or blue. If you're not sure what you need, please don't hesitate to email me and I'll work with you as best I can to get you what you need.
